Pupil Premium Awards 2016

We are delighted to share the news that we have received a letter from the Department for Education notifying us that we have won a local award in the KS2 category of the Pupil Premium Awards 2016.  We have been selected because St Andrews is one of the most improved schools in the country in terms of the attainment and progress of disadvantaged pupils since 2011.

Top Lancashire Sports Award

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Sports Award for ‘Best Primary School in Lancashire’. Mr Martland attended the award ceremony last night (Friday 4th December) at the Preston Guild Hall. We knew we had been nominated along with other schools but to win is tremendous news.

Special thanks goes to Mr Martland for his coordination of sport here at St Andrew’s and also to all the other staff for the time that they freely give in supporting sport in school.

Not forgetting all the children that get involved in sport through our clubs and teams, their passion, enthusiasm and commitment is second to none!

Behaviour Quality Mark

We are very proud to announce that school has been awarded ‘GOLD’ in Lancashire County Council’s Behaviour Quality Mark (BQM).  This award reflects the very high standards we have in policy making regarding rewards and sanctions, pupils’ attitudes to learning, safe conduct around school, pupil intervention system, and staff support and development.

Congratulations to all pupils and staff!
